COP15 UN Climate Change Conference 2009

The UN Climate Conference collapse on Saturday, 19 Dec 2009 as bitterly divided delegates agreed to recognise a political compromise that US with china and other GHG emerging powers.

It is said that it is not the final agreement but was a beginning. The meet was dominated by the two countries, US and China the world biggest carbon polluters.

Decisions are mad by consensus in UN climate negotiations, producing a document promising $30 billion in emergency climate aid to poor nations in the next three years and a goal of eventually channeling $100 billion a year by 2020 to developing countries.
